I just renewed my Feneas membership. It's only 12 Euros (about NZ$20) for the year. Please consider joining Feneas, giving a donation to support the work they do hosting services for people developing and promoting federated technologies (eg fediverse.party ):

Offers of help with administation - both digital and analog - would also be warmly welcomed.
Been playing with #Bookwyrm and just discovered there is an instance at https://wyrms.de with this lovely custom logo. I am @wakest if you wanna follow me from here. Its interesting watching a totally different type of social thing being built on the #fediverse with #ActivityPub
WP to diaspora* 3.0.1 is out, looking for new maintainers!
To all diasporians using WordPress! π
After having been under low-maintenance mode for almost 3 years, version 3.0.1 is out and we're looking for new maintainers of the project.
The repository is public and of course open to contributions: https://github.com/DiasPHPora/wp-to-diaspora/
It has been a fun ride and now the time has come for new energy to flow into it. π
Yours, Armando and Augusto
Totally in the mood for some relaxing sound, by somebody who is walking the walk with heart and soul π
Membership of #Feneas (Federated Networks Association) is 1 Euro per month, which works out as about US$13 per year, (or NZ$20). I'm going to join, and if you are a software creator or activist working towards federated replacements for any centralized digital technologies, I encourage you to consider doing the same:

Finally, the fediverse icon mosaic is finished - and I love the result
There's a new experimental version of Tor Browser out now.
The most significant update in Tor Browser 9.5a6 is the possibility to add an authentication key for an onion site without editing the torrc configuration file ππ§

π I'm making a big high quality English Pepper&Carrot comic book using only FLOSS from scratch! Here is a first blog post report (a bit technical) of my research and test with #Krita, #Inkscape and #Scribus on #Kubuntu 18.04.2 LTS: https://www.davidrevoy.com/article735/
Got some beautiful #stickers and thingies π Feneas pin has already found its home on my backpack π Thank you, #Feneas and #Socialhome
According to the-federation.info the #fediverse has crossed 3 million registered users (and this is excluding Gab)
September Annual General Meeting
As per the rules of the Federated Networks Association ry, we invite members to our second Annual General Meeting of 2019. Due to waiting for the Finnish Patent and Registration Office to clear an exemption for our committee role shifts, this meeting is a bit late of schedule. Still, welcome to discuss and have a say on things related to #Feneas. The meeting agenda is underneath.
Note! Anyone is welcome to join the meeting. Only Feneas members however have voting rights for decisions made.

ALERT TO RELAY RUNNING INSTANCES, re: Domain block recommendation: Violation of GDPR and invasion of privacy, intentionally trying to make fediverse searchable (opening up users to harassment)
Please make sure to block fedichive.tk, they've connected to every activityrelay running on the fediverse. You can do this either by using admin utilities or blocking the current IP, 71.234.189.151
Just watched a recording of a talk on #solid, a set of standards for decentralized #socialweb. Anybody here who knows both #solid and #activitypub and would be willing to explain the differences, pros and cons of each approach?
I'm also thinking of adding a comment section to my blog (I've got a domain migration planned, afterwards I'd like to add more content and maybe features). I was thinking of looking at #webmention and #indieweb.
How do those technologies fit into the picture?
FOSDEM 2020 - Call for participation

@forgefed Hi ForgeFed team!
A few folks and I are also getting our hands into this field, and we realized we should not do repetitive work in parellel, especially not *two* specs or protocols. I'm really curious about your work, and how you got ActivityPub, a social network-oriented protocol, to suit your needs.
Happy coder π
